Forest Bathing Wicklow
Forest Bathing Wicklow was founded by Cathelijne de Wit (you can call her Cat) after she trained as a forest bathing guide with Nádúr, Centre for Integrative Forest Therapy and the Entrepreneurs Academy in the summer of 2021.
Cathelijne's training was part of the pilot eco-tourism training programme initiative that was developed by County Wicklow Partnership and funded under the LEADER Rural Development Fund. The program had the support of Wicklow Co Co, Wicklow Tourism and the LCDC ( Local Community Development Committee).
In 2023 Forest Bathing Wicklow won the Irish Enterprise Award for 'Best Nature Connection Business in Leinster'.
About Cathelijne
Originally from the Netherlands, Cathelijne moved to Ireland because she fell in love with the natural landscape of the emerald isle. She has been working as a certified national tour guide for more than seven years. Her work is all about sharing her love for Ireland with other people.
Cathelijne lives in county Wicklow, the garden of Ireland, and spends a lot of time in its beautiful natural surroundings. In 2021 she trained as a forest bathing guide because again, she wanted to share the benefits she experienced in nature with others. She loves telling stories but during forest bathing walks, Cathelijne lets the forest do most of the talking.
