Clothing and Equipment

Wrap up warmer than you would do for a ‘normal walk’. We will be standing (or sitting) still a lot and our bodies can cool down quickly. You may get cold, even in summer! Also bring a waterproof layer, as there might be some rain. And of course, wear proper (waterproof) walking shoes. The walk will be short and slow, but the ground underneath our feet will be uneven and can be quite wet and muddy. Our guides have waterproof sit mats available to use during the event. Please also bring water and sun protection if required, and any food, walking equipment or medications you might need.

Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation in the session if you are not wearing appropriate clothing.  This is for your own safety.

Weather

Our tours and events will go ahead in all weather circumstances, unless there is a MET Eireann weather warning. If a tour of event is cancelled due to bad weather, we give you notice as soon as possible and reschedule the event. If none of the new dates are not convenient for you, we will refund your fee.

Possible risks

During our tours and events we will take slow and short walks. Be mindful where you place your feet. We are walking in nature and the ground can be uneven, wet, and slippery. Be careful of tripping hazards, like branches, fallen trees or roots. Also beware of what’s happening above you. Low hanging branches or loose sticks can cause a safety hazard. Unexpected emotions can come up during forest bathing experiences. Know that this is totally normal. Our guides can help you if necessary.

Medical conditions

If you have any medical conditions, are on a prescribed medication, or have any concerns, please, see your GP and inform him/her about attending one of our tours or events. If you currently experience or have a history of serious health issues (including mental health issues, operations, medical procedures, seizures, implants, special needs etc.), please, inform us so that we can look after you properly. During most of our tours and events there will be a natural tea gathering. If you have any allergies, please let me know in advance. Unfortunately, for safety reasons we cannot accommodate people with walking disabilities at this moment.

Children

Most of our tours and events are suitable for children. It’s up to the parents to judge if their kids will be up to it. Please keep in mind that most of our events are quiet and meditative. No playing, running or excessive noise will be permitted. Children need to be supervised by a parent at all times.   We also run events especially designed for children.

Pets

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.

Refund Policy

Tickets need to be booked and paid for in advance. Please, note that all ticket sales are final. In order to care for our energy in organising and running events with deliberately small numbers we don’t allow cancelations. If you are unable to come to the event you’ve booked, you can either change the date to one of our other tours or events up to 14 days before the date of the event, or transfer you ticket to somebody else. No refunds will be issued in case of non-attendance.  If we have to cancel the event for any reason you will be offered an alternative date or, if a suitable date cannot be arranged, a full refund.

No shows and delays

If a participant fails to attend an event without prior notice ("no-show"), they will not be eligible for a refund. We kindly request that attendees inform us as soon as possible if they are unable to attend or anticipate a delay. If a participant arrives more than 10 minutes late without notifying the organization in advance, the guide will proceed without them, and no refund will be issued. Please ensure timely communication to avoid any inconvenience.
